Leonas side of things…
I love Perth it’s stunning. There’s something to look at wherever you go, the whole first day, or maybe even the first week, I just looked around gawping at everything. I left Danny for a bit when we were sorting out boring bank and tax stuff etc, and I got lost amongst the sky scrapers, I already feel quite small, but that day I felt tiny like a pea! Look at the size of this thing……..

Then I came across a cute little church, that didn’t fit in at all with the surroundings I had to get a picture, check it out!

We couldn’t have chosen a better city to start the journey from. Its super chilled with loads of quirky independent shops and cafes and bars etc. Unfortunately we can really only look at them, as the one downside to Australia is that the prices here are ridiculous! We had a beer each the other night at $8 a pint! That’s nearly £5 quid each..crikey! We have treated ourselves a couple of times though!
Seriously most things cost a fortune, which is not what I was expecting at all! I will get a job in the New Year. We have both become pretty savvy about the best places to shop though and we’re living in china town at the mo so we’re perfecting our oriental cooking skills! Here’s danny cooking a Taiwanese dish.

Contrary to belief its actually pretty cultured here. There’s a really big art scene, there’s amazing graffiti to art installations and sculptures dotted around every corner (this was taken in north bridge just round the corner from where we were staying in the first week)

This the pool at the Billabong backpackers, the first hostel we stayed at, I loved having a pool, in these temperatures you need one! My main mission has been to rescue ladybirds from the swimming pools; I’ve saved a total of 8 so far! Silly things!

This is Hyde Park just around the corner from our hostel, it’s so nice…danny’s playing in the fountain, bless!

Cant believe its nearly Christmas – it doesn’t feel like it at all! I am glad to be away from the British weather for a change! (I don’t mean to rub it in – sorry!) Check out perth’s xmas tree

I don’t think I would mind catching the bus to work here every morning either, it beats the red brick backdrop of de-Preston!
