So it begins………………..

So sorry for the lack of updates etc, as you can imagine, we have been super busy sorting out all the stink stuff like bank accounts, medical, places to stay, getting used to the conversion rate on our dosh, blah blah blah, not to mention getting over some harsh jetslag eugghh. Also, Australian internet is as unreliable as my mate Kieran Kelly and most of the time its hard to upload any images/video.

So, we are a little more settled now so check out below for a little catch up on the goings on. The first little video is of my nanna chelsea, who gave us some nice words before I left for the airport.

My old bud cabcake gave us a lift to Manchester airport (see pic below) and we couldn’t have asked for a better day to leave the uk, it was super sunny and calm, but I believe its changed a bit right? You guys enjoying the gotham city grey SAD inducing skies? Cant say im missing it to be honest. I prefer the super mario land bacon and eggs sunshine here in Perth, Western Australia.

The flight was fantastic and we didn’t even get hit by asteroid fragments (I have this weird paranoia everytime I step on a plane that we are going to get taken down by asteroid shards…), emirates are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone, so cheers to my mate Disney Teets for hooking that up for us. If you want some good flights, let me know and ill pass your details on to her. The plane was super modern unlike some flying cattle sheds ive been on in the past.

PLANE

Each seat as standard had a personal touch screen with video on demand so we checked out a few films ive been wanting to watch to kill some time one the journey. I forgot how long it takes to get there. Could either of us sleep on the way? What do you think. By the time we got to dubai I had the same feeling as I do the morning after ten pints. Both of us were zombie like and it looked as though I had two typhoo/pg tips teabags under my eyes. There were a ton of others like me and the whole terminal looked like a scene from dawn of the dead. Check out a quick snippet below of some zombies.

After another sitting down marathon of ten hours, we landed at 3am in Perth. At this point our fragile minds didnt know what time it felt like…euggh….jetslag was starting to really take hold. Waking up three hours later t being wide awake (im not one hundred percent what jetlag does to the mind, but it aint good.)we decided we needed to go and do something other than try to sleep so we headed into perth city centre. Man, the heat was ridiculous, I felt like a gimp in a marathon. Leona was loving the heat and the laid back feel of perth immediately and from the pics below, you can kind of see why. These pics were taken from where each of us stood.

Also, check out a few clips of what went on on the first few days. I feel I must mention that the colours in the photos and video footage have not been increased. This is how things look over here…..

A few days in we went house hunting to try save some dosh and get settled in so we could view cars / camper. Houses are pretty scarce at the moment, but we found and advert on a fleapit internet café notice board

To cut a massive story short, this was a scam. We went to visit the house, it was amazing, sauna, gym, Jacuzzi etc. Some dude was trying to get us to hand over some money on the post but Leona smelt a rat and we made our excuses and left. Turns out that the koreans have this clever property scam sussed and I would need a thousand words to explain the complex epic shizzle they have got going on.

Hit up cottosloe beach with some fellow backpackers we met at the hostel. Ended up chipping in and buying a crate of some amazing ozzy beer and pretty much chilled there until the sun went down. Check out the snaps of me and Leona (she looks like a hot bond girl right?), the first one being this pesky seagull who came and stole someone’s bag of crisps, he let me get super close for a razor sharp photo. Check out how cheeky he is. Again, no colours have been tampered with…..

Woke up at 6am again and came across these pretty tame black swans on an early morning walk through hyde park in northbridge. Beats walking past brown dog eggs and regurgitated kebab on the mean streets of Lancashire.
